Welcome to Gresley Church

We meet most Sundays at Gresley Church Community Centre (GCCC) from 10:00am. The service runs for about one hour and Tea & Coffee is served afterwards; you can be certain of a warm welcome. GCCC is located adjacent to the church building with ample on-site and on-street parking.

St George and St Mary’s is part of the Swadlincote Minster, which was licensed in 2018 and brings together St John’s, Newhall; St Peter’s, Hartshorne; Emmanuel, Swadlincote and our Church to work more closely together combining resources, services, groups, and activities to be more efficient and effective in the community. The vision of Swadlincote Minster is to work together for God’s kingdom by reaching out to communities across Swadlincote and seeing everyone flourish. Its aims are to transform lives, to grow church and to build community.

Together, Swadlincote Minster has made the decision to become a united benefice and the legal changes to enable this to take place are in progress. The four Churches continue to search for new community projects to engage in as part of the Minster.

Due to the closure of the church building, St George and St Mary’s had to suspend weddings and funerals. We have helped those who have made enquiries to find an alternative location and we are still able and happy to arrange Baptisms.
